Adulting is hard. Anxiety makes it harder. It almost feels like no matter how many obstacles you conquer, another mountain immediately arrives. Your to-do list feels endless. Mental health is incredibly important. I’ve definitely struggled with anxiety through most of my life. Despite the fact that most of the time I feel rather alright, there are definitely moments where I feel lost and confused. I dedicated the past few months towards improving myself mentally and finally taking control of my anxiety. My first big step was finally booking an appointment to go see a therapist. A couple of weeks ago I experienced my official college graduation commencement. I actually finished school back in December, but was finally able to walk the stage last weekend. Going back to campus and hearing many of my old classmates have amazing careers made me critically think about my own goals and expectations. Yesterday I took an impromptu trip to the mall with my friend Diana, simply because the Chipotle in the food court has carnitas and the one next to our school does not. After devouring our burrito bowls, we browsed through Forever 21, Sephora, Hot Topic, and even a puppy store (they were SO CUTE). Shockingly enough, we didn’t buy anything.
