Guest post by Betsy Ramser Jaime Most of us would love to travel. However, if you’re just starting out the entire process can feel extremely overwhelming, especially when you’re on a budget. Believe me, I get it! From choosing a location, to accommodations and flights, it’s easy to go down the Google rabbit hole. Four hours later, you have even more questions than answers or concrete travel plans. Throughout my twenties I’ve visited 30+ countries. In the process, I’ve learned a lot and made many mistakes with travel planning. Based on my experiences, here are five key tips for the millennial traveler on a budget.Read More →

The weekend after I ventured to the Grand Canyon for the first time, I tried a few new things closer to home with another one of my best friends. When Holly came to visit, we had three goals in mind: Disneyland, Warner Bros. Studio Tour, and LACMA (Los Angeles County Museum of Art). I had never been to the last two locations, so I was excited to see what they were about!   After a fun-filled and action packed day in Disneyland, Holly and I woke up early to drive straight to Burbank for our tour at Warner Bros. Studios. I’ve been meaning to takeRead More →

At the beginning of the year I decided that one of my goals for 2016 was to definitely get out and try new things, especially go explore new places. First stop – the Grand Canyon! My first big adventure took me all the way to Arizona for the first time to visit my lovely friend Jess. I flew into Phoenix on Thursday night, and Friday morning we were off for other three and a half hour drive to the Grand Canyon! Both Jess and I had never been before, so we were excited to try something brand new together. Although three and a half hours there andRead More →

Last weekend, I had the rare chance of having Sunday off from work. (Usually my job requires me to work weekends…but this was a random exception.) Instead of my usual lounging around watching Netflix like I usually do on my days off, my boyfriend told me to be ready by noon to be picked up. I had no idea where we were going, but I was definitely happy with the destination. I’ve been talking about wanting to go to San Diego for a few months now. I’d never been, and it seemed so beautiful in some areas and just somewhere I wanted to explore.Read More →

This last Saturday a friend of mine, Raisa, from out of state came to visit. Our goal for the day was to drive to Glendale to visit the Walt Disney Studios and Disney Imagineering. I had never been to either of these places, so I was rather excited. Since one of my goals for the new year is to explore more of Southern California (I really just need to get over driving in LA traffic), I thought this was a perfect opportunity. Sadly, we didn’t realize that both Imagineering and the Studios were closed on Saturdays. We found ourselves in a slight pickle. Thankfully, Raisa was supposedRead More →

The E-Ticket Life by Kyle Burbank I met Kyle through one of my best friends, who works with Kyle on a Disney podcast called The Disneyland Gazette. Kyle was kind enough to be the first person to officially review my own book on both the Gazette and LaughingPlace.com. While I was participating in an interview for the Gazette with Kyle, I learned more about his book The E-Ticket Life. I was definitely excited to read it myself, and jumped on the opportunity to finally meet Kyle in person at the D23 Expo and purchase a signed copy. I didn’t actually get around to reading Kyle’s book untilRead More →
