Hi, I’m Sara. And things are going to look a little different around here.
Over the years, I’ve experienced cyclical burnout.
Balancing working full time, building a coaching business, writing and publishing four books, trying to cultivate healthy habits, planning a wedding, keeping some sort of a social life…and more.
Every time I thought I’d made adjustments to break free from the burnout cycle, it’d creep up on me again.
Last year while I was on vacation with my family, I realized I worked too much.
My self-discovery coaching business had been slowly turning into something very similar to my full-time job. I’m in marketing for a living, so extending my skills and knowledge to market my own business was natural. But it wasn’t sustainable.
How it Began
I started my business originally as a blog, sharing what I’ve learned about myself, personal development, and simply enjoying the process of writing and creating (as you can see if you search through the archive of posts on this site). From those humble beginnings, my business blossomed into incredible opportunities like publishing three guided journals and helping multiple clients in programs along the way. Which is incredible!
But not sustainable.
What Happened
After my recent book, Your Self-Discovery Journal was published a few months ago, I took a month-long break…that quickly turned into four months off.
During that time, I learned that I need to get back to my roots and focus on what’s fun and lights me up – and that’s being creative and connecting with others.
What’s Next?
What that exactly will look like is still in development, but right now I’m focusing on the journey of reconnecting with simply being creative without being concerned about the outcome or the results. Writing, creating videos, podcasts…anything that feels right.
I’m excited to share this next phase with you, and hope you’ll stick around to see what’s on its way.
What would you like to see moving forward?
