One positive trend I’ve been noticing in society within the last few years is a shift away from the “hustle” mentality and a collective step towards taking care of yourself to avoid burnout.
If you’re not familiar with the “hustle” mentality, picture someone working day in and day out, outside of their regular work hours, not taking breaks, not sleeping, and basically constantly on the move in order to achieve their goals.
Can you relate to this right now? It’s okay, I’ve been there too.
Balancing a full-time job, my coaching business, errands, relationships with loved ones, and life, in general, is a constant challenge. And at first, the hustling habits I developed led me to serious burnout. Multiple times.
One of the first signs of burnout? Feeling constantly overwhelmed.
Eliminating overwhelm is key to avoiding the burnout cycle and taking care of yourself, which is what I talked about during an interview on The Resilient Type podcast.
