A fun and easy way to kick-start your self-discovery journey is to take personality tests!
Personality tests, like the two mentioned in this episode, are great ways to start understanding who you are, why you respond in certain circumstances, what motivates you, and also how to better understand other people in your life.
While there are numerous personality tests that can help you during your self-discovery journey, the two mentioned in this episode are my top two recommendations overall! They’re thorough, easy to comprehend and work hand-in-hand with each other to give you a well-rounded view to understanding yourself a little better.
Myers-Briggs Personality Test
The Myers-Briggs personality test is one of the most popular personality tests available right now – and for good reason! The results from this test help you better understand how you perceive the world around you and make decisions.
Personality type results are broken into the following four categories:
- Introversion vs Extraversion
- Sensing vs Intuition
- Thinking vs Feeling
- Judging vs Perceiving
Listen to the episode to learn more about each of these categories!
Where to Take the Myers-Briggs Personality Test
While the Myers-Briggs personality types describe how you perceive the world and how you made decisions, your Enneagram type dives into your WHY behind your personality. It explains your motivations, desires, and fears that are the core of why you respond to situations in your life in the way that you do.
One reason I love the Enneagram is that while there are nine different types (all simply numbered as one through nine), the Enneagram of Personality depicts that we have a little bit of each number within us. This is why if you read other types that aren’t your core number, you may relate to certain qualities and situations they describe. But at the end of the day, you will always have your core number.
