Now that I’m done with college and taking on the new year, I thought it’d be a good idea to take a step back and figure out what I really want to do with my time. I’m so used to the pressures of always working on projects or homework assignments, but now that I’m not studying for tests I’d love to use that time productively and find new hobbies and things I enjoy doing.
A blogger I follow, Cara from Onwards and Upwards, posted some of her resolutions and reflections for 2016. She included a 30 day challenged dedicated to focusing on a more minimalistic lifestyle. I was intrigued.
The challenge helps you slowly rid of anything unnecessary out of your life. Right now I think I struggle the most with obsessively checking social media or watching Netflix excessively (I know…it is definitely a problem). I’d love to chip away some of these bad habits and have a fresh and focused start to the new year.
I’ll share and post my progress with you all to see how well (or poorly) I’m accomplishing this unique challenge. I can tell you right now Day 1 is a bit of a big expectation for me, but I’ll certainly try my best. (Maybe I’ll switch it with a different day to kind of ease into it.)
What are some of your resolutions this year? Are there any challenges you’re trying to conquer?
